To start using Dictate, you will need to make sure you have an active Office subscription, the latest version of Office, are connected to the Internet. Dictate is included in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. When purchasing Microsoft Office or Office 365, it will get your access to Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Dictate as Microsoft have officially named it uses your voice to create documents, presentations, emails and of course take notes. To buy Microsoft Office outright will cost $119.99 and Microsoft 365 account starts as low as $69.99 annually, and can be done in the Mac App Store. However, in order to use this feature, you must have either purchased Microsoft Office from the Mac App Store or have an Office 365 subscription. People have been dictating into Word for a while now via the Windows Speech Recognition (or Speech Services) feature, but the new Dictation feature brings the activity under Word’s control and gives it more features and options.
